post Prowein Companies - CSR, Corporate Governance, Reputation and Satisfaction Customer

Ideas and Studies

Last Wednesday I received the magnificent news that my second academic article will see the light. This time in Castilian, in an academic journal called "Journal of Social Responsibility" published by the foundation Luis Vives. The same, which will be released in April and can be read both in print and digital version for free upon registration on the web, is a sneak preview of my doctoral thesis.

ever
As I stated in this blog, the purpose of my study is to analyze whether those companies that do things right, they behave as corporate citizens and manage their impacts, not only economic but also social and environmental, obtain better results. In the magazine article Luis Vives, I have focused on analyzing whether the corporate governance practices, including within a CSR strategy, affect the reputation and consumer satisfaction. It has done a study on the correlation, not causation, which I leave for my thesis. The companies analyzed are the major automotive and cover 85% of world production.

few years ago, discussions about corporate governance practices concerned the theory of the Agency. It was developed by Coase posited that, as a result of the increasing fragmentation of shareholdings in modern companies, the property, ie, the shareholders had given way to a professional class responsible for executive management. These executives were, according to Coase, the main actors (shareholders), but were tempted to act opportunistically to meet their interests first even at the expense of the owners. To align the interests of agents and principals, shareholders must incur a series of costs (agency costs) that detraían part of corporate profit.

Today is not that the agency theory is not in force, but has broadened its view. Revisions of new authors, mostly from the Theory of Stakholders Edward Freeman, asserts that managers act as agents, not only shareholders, but of all stakeholders of a company, because all are affected by the success or failure of it. In that sense today, when we speak of good governance must take into consideration some of the conclusions of the Committee on Banking Supervision 1999. In the same was said that corporate governance tools should be used for boards and managers take into consideration the interests of recognized stakeholders. This is not to say that we should put aside the objective of profitability and profit, but the recognition that the company is moving in a network economy in which adversarial relations must be transformed into relations of cooperation (win - win) to ensure business success. In this sense corporate governance tools should be used for the organs of control and management of a company make decisions that will enable it to achieve social legitimacy in their performance by improving communication between the company and its stakeholders.

The question is to what extent this is still well in practice. When we read cases like WorldCom, Parmalat, Lehman Brothers and Enron, for example, we can only conclude the extent to which management tools are being used to create value for stakeholders. Investors in these companies were affected, but also the suppliers who were left without charge, customers were left without product and workers lost their jobs. Scandals tarnish the image of the company, including its share price. Just ask a BP after discharge into the Gulf of Mexico . Has even trigger boycotts like the one Intermon - Oxfam launched a global attack Starbuck's in his day.
Therefore, the item will be released in April is to analyze the relationship between various corporate governance practices conducted automotive companies and their impact on the reputation of a company and consumer satisfaction. Have been studied in detail the various initiatives taken by BMW, Daimler - Mercedes, Fiat, Renault, Ford, Nissan, Volkswagen, General Motors, Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Suzuki in corporate governance.

From the different tests, we have obtained a score for each company and for each year.

corporate reputation is linked to the perception that different external stakeholders to a company have about the same. Reputation is an intangible, inimitable and almost impossible to replicate in the short term, being, therefore, the source of many competitive advantages. CSR can influence the formation of a reputation as numerous studies have shown. And good governance practices fit within the concept of CSR. Is there a relationship between corporate governance practices and reputation of a company?

Consumer satisfaction is related to the overall evaluation of the experience of purchasing and consumption of a product by the consumer over time. Expectations is a process and contrasts. The consumer, based on their prior experience, word of mouth, advertising the company and their own mental constructs creates an evaluative framework against which it will then compare the result of the product purchased. It is for this reason that the reputation, even CSR initiatives can generate a positive evaluative context by encouraging the identification of consumer customer with the company. Are they related to corporate governance practices in customer satisfaction in the automotive sector? There a link between a company's reputation and customer satisfaction?

So all this is the article. The answers to the questions leave them for when you leave it, but I anticipate that there are at least interesting results. Gradually we move forward. From all this we will give in on this blog.

WORLD CONSUMER DAY: We denounce rate increase in cellular

Today March 15, World Consumer Rights, there is nothing to celebrate, if not the opposite, would be regarded as a day of protest. That is why we present ourselves to the delegation of the Rosario National Communications Commission to submit a formal complaint unilaterally increased tariffs for mobile by the three companies providing the service, an increase that was done without notice to users.

Both nationally and in Santa Fe, the situation of users and consumers is the same as ten years ago. In terms of public services such as telephony, energy and water, the companies have captive customers, abuse rates, cut services without compensation to users and make the bad treatment of customers common practice. It is truly incomprehensible that the regulators of public services have no more influence in corporate control. It seems that the nation state has forgotten to use the legal tools you have available as the law of consumer protection, loyalty and commercial competition, leaving overlook infringements more treacherous.

One of the unresolved in Santa is to protect users and consumers. In this regard, along with Mario Barletta, we submitted a proposal system reform to decentralize the area, giving the rank and rank of secretary of state and delegating to municipalities the police power of the consumer protection law and other items.

recall a few days ago we presented to the House a bill that is characterized as a public service to mobile telephony and internet in all its forms, to ensure through the National Constitution are respected clients' rights services mobile phones and internet as well as establish a clear and explicit the obligations of service providers.

Defending CONSUMER RIGHTS

Alongside Mario Barletta presented in yesterday, our proposal on the rights of the consumer. We believe that the current management on behalf of consumers is a pending current government, there was no progress on the issue and we are in the same conditions as the first day in office.

The rights of consumers and users is in Santa Fe, a state policy. Proof of this is that if we look at the website http://www.santafe.gov.ar/ is extremely difficult to find the Directorate General of Domestic Trade, authority of 24,240 law enforcement in our province. Furthermore, provincial authorities have not changed the conditions of public service users in cases like the provincial water company ASSA, and especially in the case of the SLR which continues to govern internal regulations dating from the 60's and absolutely violates all laws and regulations protecting consumers. It seems that in this area, as in many others, we feel an absence of state and who should care for the rights of consumers, who are all citizens.

We raise a government where the area police exercise power on behalf of the provincial state laws regarding the Consumer Protection Fair Trading, Credit Cards, and Competition, all members of the legal system rules Argentine in the field. Besides, the substantial change is the delegation of authority to apply such laws to municipalities enabling them to farm violations and to initiate proceedings.

The inicitiva also includes the creation or training of a corps of inspectors to monitor the implementation of standards in the municipalities. We must raise the rank of Secretary of State to the current Directorate of Internal Trade by operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Government, considering that consumer rights should be classified as third generation human rights.

In terms of consumer rights, we need a thorough reform that gives new tools to citizens to exercise their rights more effectively and to involve a more active engagement of the State in the matter.

Our proposal includes the following measures:

1) Transform the Directorate General of Domestic Trade in a Ministry of the Rights of Users and Consumers of the Province of Santa Fe, placing it within the orbit of Ministry of Government. These rights are not commercial in nature, but third-generation human rights and constitutionally protected and must interpret them and ensure their effective state;

2) The Secretary shall exercise police power on behalf of the provincial government on of Consumer Protection Laws 24,240, 22,802 of Fair Trading, Credit Card 25,065 and 25,156 Competition, which together constitute the entire hermeneutic system of Argentine law on the subject;

3) delegate authority for implementation of the laws referred to the municipalities, who will sign relevant agreements with the Secretariat for the purpose of acting concurrently in the exercise of their functions. In the same direction to enable municipalities to plow violations and to initiate proceedings for breaches to verify in the field of competence, of the aforementioned regulations;

4) Creating a corps of inspectors from a call of the current officers of the provincial government for the purpose of exercising the police power of the four laws mentioned in the five decentralized nodes in the province, officially and for the purposes of preventing violations of the rights of consumers and users and can initiate without complaint from relevant proceedings;

5) Creating and training by the provincial government, of a similar corps of inspectors in each of the municipalities to adhere and agree to be implementing authority, in order to monitor the effective application of these rights;

6) In parallel with these reforms in the first 100 days in office will forward to the provincial legislature a bill for the purpose of punishing a code of implementation at the provincial level of the whole system of law users and consumers. The same shall cover the following aspects: a) policies to protect users and consumers; b) consumer access conditions and fair treatment without discrimination and, c) fair and effective competition; d) the effective protection of health and safety of consumers, e) quality control and equity products, goods and services, fair trade practices and contract terms and veracity of the information and commercial advertising; f) to encourage sustainable consumption, g) an efficient and rigorous control of public services, ensuring users access to consumption and distribution very efficient, the actual extent of services to all sectors of the population and the quality of their delivery, control monopolies, preventing the recovery of improper concepts, ensuring fairness in pricing and tariffs, and an effective and rapid mechanism for receiving complaints and customer services; h) education and information to consumers and users, and its organization i) the regulation of an administrative procedure aimed at preventing and resolving conflicts as well as screening, testing and penalties for violations and breaches, j) ensuring effective access for users and consumers to justice Through a quick and free.

Charades For Wedding Shower

inclusive space:
A challenge for all kids can have fun equal
---------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------
A project in the Provincial Legislature invites all municipalities to have their public spaces with different games type so they can be easily used by children with disabilities.

The Bank Park Square area will add in a few days a carousel inclusive.

All municipalities Province must have in its urban area, with parking fully equipped with different types of games so they can be easily used by children with disabilities. These public spaces may not be less than two in each district, although the amount will be determined by the final regulation is established, and will be linked to the number of people who own stocks, according to a bill submitted by the deputy of the Radical Civic Union Gustavo Zuccari.

The initiative includes the installation hammocks for wheelchairs, allowing the sensation of bobbing and vestibular work of a child with limited mobility elevated sandboxes that preserve the personal hygiene of children and prevent pollution, carousels with wheelchair ramps and the construction of integrators porches, hammocks are games specially adapted for children with PC work or who need special containment.

"We must realize that only you can make real change in the integration processes taking long-term social behavior. We understand that we must begin to integrate people with disabilities from children, to raise awareness to other kids to be maintained equal opportunities for all and thus no longer see it differently to those with disabilities, "he argued before the Deputies query Report the legislator Gustavo Zuccari, author of the initiative.

Olavarría More games

Fortunately, the gaps with games that allow the use for disabled children, either exclusively or in an integrated way, grow slowly in Olavarria but not always all the neighbors are aware of this situation and goes down on the misuse of the games , sometimes comes to harm them out of operation and can cause harm to others who use them inappropriately.

In our city there is a place that has a hammock for children with motor disabilities located in Bank Park neighborhood and is supported by the neighborhood council in the sector. The hammock was broken by abuse, but worked again to late November last year.

From the Neighborhood Council was informed infoeme.com about two weeks that will enable a carousel integrative Street Plaza Buenos Aires and 24 Bis. The carousel was able to be achieved through financial contributions from people who bet on the growth of this sector of the city and our neighborhood, it was noted from the neighborhood organization that said the next challenge is to put a game for blind and visually impaired children.

For its part, the City placed another carousel in the same style in Eseverri Helios Park, next to wooden games accessed by street workers. And in recent years games are specially designed to overcome different kinds of problems of children in the area of \u200b\u200bBrown and Sergeant Campbell Park Mitre.

Bill for BILINGUAL EDUCATION REAL

in today, we present a project that proposes to implement in all primary and secondary schools in the country compulsory education, intensive English language in order to achieve "a truly bilingual education ".

The bill establishes a minimum of one hour a day teaching English in public and private schools from the first grade of elementary school to high school last year, inclusive and thereby prepare Today's children to be citizens with all the tools in the world of work century, where with the advance of technology and is very competitive labor market, it is imperative to give our children and teens the tools in the future can be placed in a job waiting.

While the National Education Act stipulates that teaching at least one foreign language is compulsory in all schools at primary and secondary in the country, we recognize that its implementation has been insufficient, since in many of these educational institutions do not teach English or any other language in many of his stages of schooling, which is totally inadequate learning to meet the demand for training of these children and youth who are in a state of some vulnerability when carrying out tasks that require specific knowledge of a language they do not possess.

Before the change was that we live, where the industrial world will give way to the knowledge society is essential to change the education system to be world citizens and XXI century

Economy and Sustainability - Speed \u200b\u200bLimits, Oil and Energy

Reflections

After several weeks of intense debate, on Monday entered into force the ultimate measure of our government to contain, even reduce our energy bill. For the past few days, our highways and freeways can not move more than 110 miles per hour. The truth is that this time I have come to Aranda umn twice since Madrid and well, I have to admit that this time is partly right around the world. My car has cut its consumption of 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers to 5.1 on the outward journey (which gives some reason to Rubalcaba) has fallen from 5.4 to 5.1 to the turn (giving you some truth to Joseph White and experts claiming that the reduction is not linear and depends on the vehicle and the journey) and Fernando Alonso, because I do not know if it would be for accumulated fatigue or because at that speed you lose some concentration, but my dream has come both the outward and return.

Joking aside, the measure is controversial and has shades of improvisation. It can be seen from different points of view. For example, my own empirical evidence shows that, as several experts have pointed out in multiple media (and are you going to forgive me not to put the link, but I heard an interesting debate on the radio the other day), lower speed does not imply less consumption per se. Depending on the engine and its torque, consumption could occur in certain cases even increased. Rubalcaba which speaks of a savings between 11 and 15%, while the White encrypted between 5 and 12% demonstrates that many issues have not been made, or at least not with all the rigor that a measure of such major deserves.

On the other hand, I think no one has noticed business costs resulting from this measure. Carriers will take longer in its distribution, sales may serve fewer clients and so many more that will result in our battered competitiveness. Lest I tachéis an opportunist, acknowledge beforehand numbers did not do this, but that time is a major economic well is unquestionable. As much as the energy debate is something very serious is not resolved exclusively light bulbs and lowering the speed limit.

Be fair. The Government has gone beyond the 110 km / hour. Intends to remove official cars, boost public transport (although it has not said how), and provide a rolling plan of tires, so it has been published in the press, it seems that something can take still take place. Anyway, I insist that this falls far short. The world in general is facing a paradigm shift in energy as a result of different phenomena. On the one hand, by rising to the train of development of the two most populous countries (India and China), which coupled with political instability in oil producing countries (remember that this is, with 40%, the power source greater weight in our mix) condemns us to a scenario with high prices for oil. Furthermore, the impact of our current model of the environment under the indiscriminate use of fossil fuels, whose impact on the current economy was well detailed by Nicholas Stern in 2006 in his report to the Government of Tony Blair . Spain in particular, and in proportion to address the above, has the handicap of its energy dependence, at about 84%, placing it well above other countries in the European Union (EU). That is, although the actions of our executive to be valid within a well defined strategy, failing that, those are just a patch.

Our politicians have to lose their fear of multistakeholder open a serious debate about energy issues, involving experts and non-interested voices, because all sources have their advantages and disadvantages. It is openly talking, saying things like are and banish misconceptions, so that, once all the cards on the table, we have a roadmap for running over the next 15 or 20 years.
If the bet is nuclear, which apart from its virtues, that is now many "gurus" remind us of another week, week also, we also have its risks and paradoxes, and that uranium is so small or more than oil, that enrichment can have very serious military implications or power, take time to build many years, almost as many as are estimated to take to make them profitable since its opening (15 - 20 years), what the road will to seek other alternatives.

If the bet is renewable, we talk about opportunity costs above the costs of energy production, because those who now deny it saying how expensive it is obviously the concept of experience curve (for which I recommend reading any article of the Boston Consulting Group). Let us explain why Merkel, for example, has installed over 18,000 MW of solar and Spain less than 4,000 MW despite having more hours of sun, or why, despite being an energy aparrentemente "face", Germany has grown by 3.6% in 2010. Even why there is a regulatory stability and this has been changed four times in four years of legislation (which discourages clearly the investment), or why the Teutons see photovoltaics as a reliable energy future while we see it as expensive and upset.

probably find virtue in the middle. That is, our energy mix will require fossil fuels, nuclear and renewable energy. Although the natural tendency is to bet on the latter, can not be naive in the short term that may be our only source. This brings us back to the beginning of the post. Can you reduce oil consumption and, therefore, our dependence on foreign? The answer is yes and that is why they should be promoting energy saving measures. In that scenario, of course that could have accommodated the measures provided by our government, but they should not go from being the "icing on the cake." Implement, as has been done with water, a fee in installments that encourages savings and penalize waste, would be an important first step.

have used in their day the "Plan E" to rehabilitate buildings and make eco-efficient, limiting access to the inner cities as in other countries (remember that the Metro de Madrid is the best in the world), to promote the "carsharing" and promote public transport to reach the 19,000 industrial sites which still is not available this alternative, priority should be measures to encourage savings in a firm and active. No less interesting is the other measures outlined in the report of the Foundation Conama "Global Change in Spain 2020/50" : construct new buildings to be self-sufficient from an energy point of view, for which should be built with certain guidelines, with thermal envelopes, efficient lighting, renewable energy facilities to heat water, etc., so that the building is capable of producing energy consuming, but something that could be washed into the mains.

Proposals
many do not know if all viable, but they most certainly stronger than those proposed by our executive. Energy and development go hand in hand. The debate is serious, much more that the action raised at least pretend.

Remember that progress does not continue if you do not fight, because if we stand inertia drives us back, we return to barbarism. Equality is necessary because it is necessary to freedom and that will be enough. Let's equality since men and women, great and in daily life, day by day, in domestic work in our homes but also in the factory and at the university. At the end everyone will be happier.

Music - Nacho Vegas

Dirty Zone

A couple of weeks since I wrote. Input apologize, but the doctoral work have not given me respite. Not wanting to happen any day, while the oven bag my next post (advance to cover the energy debate and controversy as the 110 km / hour), I leave the first single from "Dirty Zone", the latest album by Nacho Vegas. The video was produced Jonas Trueba, son of Fernando Trueba, and makes a small tribute to the movies, the musical genre of Asturias is a fanatic.

After his splendid "The manifest disaster" , Nacho Vegas had set the bar very high. In "The Zone" Dirty ", his latest work, new encounter issues that makes my hair stand on end. Gijon to shoot the heart does not beat by halves, and sings to the surface emotions arising stories from credible, close, with which one can be identified.

Nacho Vegas is a musician from mass but gradually begins to cease to be minorities. Is the reward for many years making music with soul. I leave "The final big joke," one of my favorite songs on the disc.

Enjoy it!

Request Report Taken Working min with the Union Railway

In yesterday presented a request to report to the government to provide accurate, detailed information on contracts Labour Minister Carlos Tomada had with the Union Railway ( http://www.clarin.com/politica/relaciones-Tomada_0_437356325.html ).

Among other things we want to know if the government is aware that the T & C Consortium Tomada was hired as a consultant to the Union Railway, and if so, on what date and for which tasks.

The reason for this project stems from research conducted by journalist Daniel Santoro for his next book, "Mr. Judge, Norberto Oyarbide judicial biography "and stating that in a court case investigating more than a hundred union members and consultants for the diversion of a credit granted in 1996 by the World Bank to consulting family members or friends of those.

In a preview of this book, which was published by several news portals, it is mentioned that "In 1998, the Union Railway hired Consultant T & C, which was chaired by Carlos Tomada, then, lawyer of the CGT. For their advice, the consultant received the sum of "at least $ 150 000 (Source: http://www.elperiodicotucuman.com.ar/2011/02/28/relaciones-peligrosas-de-tomada- y-Righi-to-pedraza / ). As revealed online newspaper, citing published by Santoro "the prosecutor called attention to the strange proximity of the date of commencement of functions of the signature and the date of the agreement with the Social Work." Is that by observing the time of printing, billing book T & C, which opens on November 15, 1998 and runs until March 1999, without extending any invoice to another union or company, it is anticipated that the company Current Labor Minister Carlos Tomada, it would have been only for that contract. "
(Source: http://www.lapoliticaonline.com/noticias/val/71573-6/relaciones-peligrosas-de-tomada -y-Righi-to-pedraza.html ).

For all this, it appears that, beyond questions of procedure by which the court case did not prosper there, at least, doubts about the possible existence of maneuvers completely away from the correct administration of loans contracted by our country and then must pay all Argentines, especially when, as is clear from the research cited, there are officials and ministers of the Nation that may be involved in such acts.

Then the order of report:

EDUCATION AND SPORT: basic tools to reverse the social exclusion

Under the program, "With the education from the first day "with Mario Barletta and the legislator Susana Garcia (applicant also to the Chamber of Deputies of the Province), visited the Middle School No. 1207 Adult (Uruguay 1262-Rosario), where we met with new delivery of books, this issue symbolizes the importance we give to the school in our province. In the words Mario: "Education is an issue of the country, but as Santa Fe, we recall the past when Santa Fe was the province that led the way in terms of education and we want to be there again."

We are convinced that the model that the kids go to school , the great object of the boy stay in school, why in the last century was revolutionary and politicians to follow repeating, does not reach more we are in the XXI century and we discuss the essence of education, which is content. We are convinced that education is the place where you have to start thinking about future generations. We must reclaim the space of the school.

and also considering that it is essential to develop sports and education as key tools to reverse social exclusion, and wishing to do work with the institutions, have met with officials of the Club Rosario Central (in the next few days we will meet with officials from Newell's Old Boys Club), where we received the club's president, Norberto Speciale, who shares that through the institution, often leads to places where the state can not llegaractuando as an important tool of containment.
